Martin Merkel is Managing Partner at Troesser & Co., based in Dresden, and joined the firm in June 2026. He brings more than ten years of experience in consulting and finance leadership, including two years as CFO of an international industrial group. His focus is on the financial side of transformation: funding, liquidity, M&A and the numbers that business decisions rest on.

Martin holds a Master of Science in Economics from Technische Universität Dresden. He began his career in 2015 at the consultancy Struktur Management Partner in Cologne, where over seven years he progressed from Consultant to Manager, leading projects and building deep analytical expertise. In 2022 he stepped into his industry career at Eissmann Automotive, an automotive interior supplier headquartered in Bad Urach, where he first worked on an interim basis before serving as CFO from 2024 to 2026. As CFO he led the group’s finance function through a phase of transition that included its sale to a new investor.

Across these roles Martin has developed in-depth expertise in corporate finance, cash management and M&A, with experience in automotive, real estate and construction, consumer goods, and mechanical and plant engineering. Having sat in the CFO chair himself, he understands how much a sound balance sheet and reliable planning matter when a business is going through change.

Because he has worked as both consultant and executive, Martin knows the difference between a plan that looks good on paper and one that works in daily operations. That perspective makes him a strong addition to Troesser & Co.’s work with companies and shareholders that need a firm grip on their finances when the stakes are high.
